Adelaide Metro
The Adelaide Metro website was launched in April 2000. The initial site was built in less than a month, but over the years its look has changed a number of times.
Since its initial launch, Vmedia have added a number of useful functionalities to the website. The most recent of these has been the implementation of the Timetable Quick Finder. Typing a keyword, such as a suburb or route number into the TQF, returns all relevant timetables, as well as information for any upcoming service changes. It has become a public transport user's central point for all the latest information.
The details for every timetable are stored in a database which the client can access via the administration area. Here they can add new routes, change route information for existing routes, or enter information for upcoming service changes. All changes can be viewed and approved before being implemented on the website. This not only gives Adelaide Metro staff piece of mind when making small timetable changes, but also acts as a kind of "storage area" allowing them to make changes to many timetables ahead of time, removing unneccessary stress and time pressures.
Previous additions have been the scripting of the database driven "Route and Timetable Planner" and the ability for Adelaide Metro staff to upload and manage service interruptions and press releases. There is also an SMS service and mailing list.
The site receives large amounts of traffic, averaging over 1 million hits a month.

Build Adelaide
A huge directory of Building services, with articles, ideas, advice has been launched onto the Adelaide market as a first of many city-specific directories. The directory itself has a smart search function which assists you to find the product, service or advice that you need. The beauty of the site lies in the ability to find almost any building service in Adelaide in the one place, and for advertisers to place information right where and when people are looking for advice.

Envestra

Envestra Limited, a listed company, is the largest distributor of natural gas in Australia. The website helps their investor audience to understand their business, and promotes the performance, security and reliability of the company to shareholders.
This attractive online resource reflects Envestra's every changing professional corporate image, providing an easy to use and well presented source of investor information.
A major feature of the site is the Share Market Performance page, which gives access to up to date share price information and charts.
The news / media release / document part of the site is managed by the client, via an online content management database. This browser based system automatically puts newly published items into a Latest News listing as well as one of six categories.
The ability to publish groupings, headings and sequences of documents has also been included, to allow for bigger documents to be broken into sections before publishing. Other features of the site include an integrated link to a webcast facility, and an administrable email database.
Envestra change the design of their annual report each year. Their website can now change just as often, as it uses a Cascading Style Sheet which allows compete design changes to be done without the need for a time consuming and expensive rebuild.

Talk Fringe
BankSA talkfringe website is back for a second year running. Developed for BankSA, the site was originally designed to help support the Fringe acts, get the audience more involved, and add to the Fringe experience for everyone. The site allows anyone to rate the shows, score free tickets to events, and check out Fringe photos in the on-line gallery and postcards.
This year it is bigger and better, also allowing people to become members, have their own blogs and keep track of their favourite shows and other members.
The client was delighted with the site in 2006, some of the positive comments they had for us were:
“This website has grown into such a great tool for all fringe-
goers, and can only get bigger and better in the future years
of the Fringe.”
“It was so wonderful to work with such pro-active people who
went above and beyond on many occasions to help us out. Your
time and dedication to our new project has been very much appreciated.”
“It has been an absolute blast working with you guys, hope that
we can do it all again soon.”
Vmedia are delighted to be again working with TalkFringe in 2007, and happy it will now be an annual event.

Adventure 4WD
This site's navigation encourages participation to find the options, appealing to their core audience of discovery enthusiasts. It makes a fairly simple site more intriguing, interactive and reflects the sense of fun that is integral to the company. We built this site several years ago, and it is still a great looking and robust presence for this little company doing big things in 4WD training.

Department for Envirnment and Heritage
The Department for Environment and Heritage website is an excellent example of how good structure and navigation can make a site really work.
The DEHAA design is very distinctive, making use of a circle element as the navigation structure, and icons for each service division. The site will expand considerably in the future, and the design will work to hold the information together in one coherent style.
The whole site is managed using PHP includes technology, meaning that the pages are built on the fly from a database of images and information. Global changes can be made very easily as the PHP includes uses one common set of document resources (graphics, header, navigation, footer, etc) for every page in a section.
Our MetaData Generator makes the task of applying MetaData to the site a much more manageable proposition, enabling content authors to generate MetaData and administrators to approve and edit MetaData through simple on-line forms.

Angoves
The Angoves site was designed by Them Advertising, who we also work with for the Adelaide Metro. There are now two sites, for Australia and the USA, utilising the same resources and updating facilities. This site is interesting in the way that it is updated. All wine information and media resources are uploaded using a tailored CMS which makes it easy for tasting notes and vintages to be added. The funky scrolling menus and simple but elegant navigation work very well to enhance the image of this client.

Pizza Red
Pizza Red is a wine product tailored to American tastes and made especially for drinking with Pizza.
The company needed to deliver the message about their product being the best thing on earth to drink with pizza.
The site needed to be entertaining and light, and would provide simple directions for distributors, retailers, restauranteurs and the public. Vmedia's concept and design for the illustration and the site deliver just the right feel for the product and the market.
The use of simple javascript to deliver the animated storyline keeps the site super light and super compliant, meaning super accessible.
It looks great, and the client can update it themselves. Easy as (pizza) pie!

This beautiful little site shows off some of the fine projects this client has done. Atkins say "it’s as much about the porcess as it is about the product".
