Sprint IT
Sprint IT specialises in providing quality IT services to small business in South Australia. They needed a website which would reflect their ethos, communicate their range of services and enable them to update their pages with new information on a regular basis. Vmedia created a Joomla design template which is fresh and energetic, echoing the companies brand and personal approach.
Vmedia's SiteControl provided them with flexibility and sophisticated site features that they need to manage this ever changing website.
The Department of Water, Land and Biodiversity Conservation
This client needed a site to contain many of their on-line services, and which could be updated by large groups of people in a controlled way.
Vmedia's SiteControl provided them with flexibility and sophisticated site features that they need to manage this ever changing website.
Adelaide Metro
The Adelaide Metro website was launched in April 2000. The initial site was built in less than a month, but over the years its look has changed a number of times.
Since its initial launch, Vmedia have added a number of useful functionalities to the website. The most recent of these has been the implementation of the Timetable Quick Finder. Typing a keyword, such as a suburb or route number into the TQF, returns all relevant timetables, as well as information for any upcoming service changes. It has become a public transport user's central point for all the latest information.
The details for every timetable are stored in a database which the client can access via the administration area. Here they can add new routes, change route information for existing routes, or enter information for upcoming service changes. All changes can be viewed and approved before being implemented on the website. This not only gives Adelaide Metro staff piece of mind when making small timetable changes, but also acts as a kind of "storage area" allowing them to make changes to many timetables ahead of time, removing unneccessary stress and time pressures.
Previous additions have been the scripting of the database driven "Route and Timetable Planner" and the ability for Adelaide Metro staff to upload and manage service interruptions and press releases. There is also an SMS service and mailing list.
The site receives large amounts of traffic, averaging over 1 million hits a month.
Envestra
Envestra Limited, a listed company, is the largest distributor of natural gas in Australia. The website helps their investor audience to understand their business, and promotes the performance, security and reliability of the company to shareholders.
This attractive online resource reflects Envestra's every changing professional corporate image, providing an easy to use and well presented source of investor information.
A major feature of the site is the Share Market Performance page, which gives access to up to date share price information and charts.
The news / media release / document part of the site is managed by the client, via an online content management database. This browser based system automatically puts newly published items into a Latest News listing as well as one of six categories.
The ability to publish groupings, headings and sequences of documents has also been included, to allow for bigger documents to be broken into sections before publishing. Other features of the site include an integrated link to a webcast facility, and an administrable email database.
Envestra change the design of their annual report each year. Their website can now change just as often, as it uses a Cascading Style Sheet which allows compete design changes to be done without the need for a time consuming and expensive rebuild.

Galley Club of Sydney
The Galley Club of sydney is an association consisting of a wide range of print professionals: publishers, designers, editors, printers, sales, marketing and more. They needed a website that would allow them to manage their own information, communicate with their members and advertise their sponsors. Vmedia created a design which is unmistakeably about sydney and publishing, ties in with the clubs corporate feel, and allows them to contribute and share while keeping a professional design.
The Amazing Race Corporate
The Amazing Race around Adelaide is now in its third year, and egtting better each yeah. The sister event, the corporate challenge, aims to create bonds between businesses in SA and Deaf CanDo, inspiring teams to raise money, enjoy a fantastic team building event, and be extraordinary. This 2 day race around Adelaide raised a huge $88,484 in 2008, and this year will again run in October.
For Deaf CanDo, running a big event like this can make it hard to keep everyone in the loop. The website is not only promoting the race, bit is the main point of contact for teams, donations, communication and inspiration. An interactive leaderboard, donations function and the ability for Deaf CanDo team to update the site using the CMS all makes the site a winner for everyone involved.
Atkins Building Group

This beautiful little site shows off some of the fine projects this client has done. Atkins say "it’s as much about the porcess as it is about the product".
We couldn’t agree more!
Talk Fringe
BankSA Talkfringe website is back for a fourth year running, with its customary makeover keeping pace with the changes in the fringe and the audience. The website has been improving and expanding since 2006 and has been hugely successful each year. Developed for BankSA, the site was designed to help support the Fringe acts, get the audience more involved, and add to Fringe experience for everyone.
The site allows visitors to rate and review the shows, with their critique and votes putting them in the running for three $1000 prizes. Visitors can also watch video reviews, check out their prics in the gallery, and hook up with cheap tickets supported by BankSA. Talkfringe Members can have their own blogs to share and keep track of their favourite shows, linking up with friends listing their own reviews.
This year a selection of reviews on the front page draw people into the site and showcase some of the better shows and reviewers.
The client has been over the moon with the site over the past few years, some ofthe positive comments they had for us were:
“This website has grown into such a great tool for all fringe-
goers, and can only get bigger and better in the future years
of the Fringe.”
“It was so wonderful to work with such pro-active people who
went above and beyond on many occasions to help us out. Your
time and dedication to our new project has been very much appreciated.”
Funds SA
Funds SA manages over $10 billion investments on behalf of public sector super funds. The website is designed to provide a very clear and very current look at the company profile, approach and assets under management to the boards of prospective clients. The company's track record and investment approach speak for themselves, our visual cues assist with the comprehension of the facts and present Funds SA as professional and powerful, yet approachable.
Build Adelaide
A huge directory of Building services, with articles, ideas, advice has been launched onto the Adelaide market as a first of many city-specific directories. The directory itself has a smart search function which assists you to find the product, service or advice that you need. The beauty of the site lies in the ability to find almost any building service in Adelaide in the one place, and for advertisers to place information right where and when people are looking for advice.
Heatlie BBQ's
Heatlie BBQs are a home grown success story.
Their high quality Barbecues and Roasters are sold throughout Australia, with a growing export market.
Their website provides information on their range, distributor information, and recipes. Distributors can log in and order direct from Heatlie using a tailor made webshop, which exports the order information to MYOB for practical order fulfilment.
Heatlie create a top quality product right here in SA, and have given their customers many years of good service and satisfaction. We can identify with that.
Country Arts
A highly visual mini site that promotes shows and acts as a program for regional theatre in SA. The navigation is cute and obvious, complements the style of their brochures, and invites their audience to see what is on offer in their region.
Hockey SA
A fantastic new home for Hockey in SA is about to be launched. This new design will allow members to much more easily navigate the site, and make it much easier to promote hockey to the next generation.
Metaplanners
A tailor-made site for a tailor-made solutions provider. Metaplanners offer wealth strategies, financial planning advice and on-line account viewing for their clients. Their client-focused attitude and proven track record resonated well with our own service philosophy. We helped them to create a truly unique investor reporting platform for their clients.
Angoves
The Angoves site was designed by Them Advertising, who we also work with for the Adelaide Metro. There are now two sites, for Australia and the USA, utilising the same resources and updating facilities. This site is interesting in the way that it is updated. All wine information and media resources are uploaded using a tailored CMS which makes it easy for tasting notes and vintages to be added. The funky scrolling menus and simple but elegant navigation work very well to enhance the image of this client.
Whats Below the surface
The introduction of Marine Parks is a contentious issue, with many stakeholders questioning the format of the proposed governance. This website has been designed to highlight the issues surrounding the Marine Park debate, provide access to news and scientific reports for the public, and put forward the industry’s point of view.
Using Joomla to build the site allowed a very quick deployment, we were able to match in well with the printed promotions. The content is managed using Joomlas built in Content Management System, and the client is able to add news and manage a supporters group as well.
Adventure 4WD
This site's navigation encourages participation to find the options, appealing to their core audience of discovery enthusiasts. It makes a fairly simple site more intriguing, interactive and reflects the sense of fun that is integral to the company. We built this site several years ago, and it is still a great looking and robust presence for this little company doing big things in 4WD training.
Office of Consumer and Business Affairs
The Office of Consumer and Business Affairs website, containing 800 pages of information on business and consumer affairs, has recently been re-designed.
The site is maintained using SiteControl, and has many features including an integrated document management, archiving and publishing system and a section for other languages.
It has unique URLs for each page, you can send e-cards from the site, and the site also has many online services such as renewing licenses, ordering birth certificates, trade registration and more.
There are also some smaller databases all linked together to provide facilities such as the baby name finder, and you can also access many documents to download or order via the site. The site, as well as being clearly labelled at each page and section, also displays a 'breadcrumb trail' so that you can see where you are in relation to the index page at all times.
The main challenges with this site were the vast amount of information to be presented and navigated, the very wide audience group with conflicting viewpoints and needs, and the need for a large group of people to manage the content, add new sections and maintain constantly changing publications without duplication or confusion.
The customer can maintain their own permissions and user groups, and perform much of the site maintenance via the administration system, which is both comprehensive and easy to use.
