The internet is primarily an information sharing tool, with up to the minute data available anywhere in the world at any time of day. That information can be products, orders, data, statistics, anything that you need to share with the people you do business with.
Vmedia have developed several business to business information sharing website applications to help people work together better, give better service to their clients, and create efficiencies which save time and money.
Case Study: Legislative Register
Situation:
DWLBC are responsible for administering all aspects of the Acts and Regulations which are within the Dept of Water, Land and Biodiversity Conservation portfolio. The number of people and agencies involved was making the management of reviews to the Act quite unwieldy, as well as making record keeping relating to changes in progress, ability to contribute ideas to the process, and management of timeframes for completion or review and absolute nightmare. Additionally, the manual process of generating reports to record the process was quite time consuming.
Solution:
Vmedia created an online Legislative Register (LegReg) tool to facilitate the formal management and administration of Acts and associated Regulations for which DWLBC is responsible. The LegReg provides a one-stop, sophisticated, effective, efficient and user-friendly approach for accessing information about each Act. It provides a tool to improve accountability and support existing functions already being undertaken by each of the divisions and contact people.
The LegReg also provides formal procedures and processes that allow for timely forward planning, consistency and efficiency in administering the relevant Acts and Regulations, through the generation of reports, which identifies due dates for outputs, reviews of Acts and Regulations and the status of these.
Case Study: Fiscal Focus
Situation:
Business improvement consultant Nick Setchell developed an innovative financial analysis method for businesses. He needed a way to expand his services to meet the needs of clients across three continents. He also needed a way to provide a portal for clients to provide him with their data, and for him to report back to them through. He required a developer he could trust with his intellectual property, one that would help him get exactly the business results he was looking for and make his product and services look good.
Solution:
Vmedia worked closely with Nick, and while he was in and out of the country building his business, we were building a website that would help him achieve what he needed. Translating Nick's financial framework into a web application has enabled him to leverage his business, market his method and comuncate with his clients worldwide.
Case Study: FundsSA
Situation:
Funds SA manages over $12 billion investments on behalf of public sector super funds. They needed a site to suit their profile and to communicate with their clients, and to provide up to date financial information dynamically to specific clients on their portfolios.
Solution:
Vmedia worked closely with Funds SA to develop a highly customised reporting solution which is secure, attractive and up to the minute.
The website is designed to provide a very clear and very current look at the company profile, approach and assets under management to the boards of prospective clients. The companies track record and investment approach speak for themselves, our visual cues assist with the comprehension of the facts and present Funds SA as professional and powerful, yet approachable.
Case Study: Build Adelaide
Situation:
Build Adelaide came to us with an audacious idea: to start a huge website to promote building services in Adelaide. Adelaide was chosen to build the first of many city-specific directories, which they wanted to contain anything anyone would want to know about building in Adelaide. The beauty of the idea lay in the ability to find almost any building service in Adelaide in the one place, and for advertisers to place information right where and when people are looking for advice.
Solution:
Vmedia helped to define and scope, then build the Build Adelaide and Build Sydney websites. Both are now massive directories of the entire city’s building services, with articles, ideas, advertising and even an interactive trade section. The data and advertising is all managed by comprehensive web based administration. A smart search function assists customers to find the product, service or advice that they need. Specialised areas have been developed to store and present particular topics, such as a database of display homes, eco living suppliers, homemaker centres and more. The site has enabled Build Adelaide to run the website as a business, grow and respond to market demands, and begin replicating the Adelaide success in other cities.
Case Study: Warehouse / distribution ordering
Situation:
Point of Sale Material is a crucial part of the wine and liquor industry, but keeping track of stock, ordering from around the world, dispatch and re-order levels can be a nightmare. With a paper system it was easy for hundreds of thousands of dollars to be wasted in over-ordered or mismanaged stock. Because of communication and timezone differences, orders from clients around the world and fulfilment records were very difficult to manage, some stock was left unused, and opportunities were lost.
Solution:
Vmedia have integrated a highly customised webshop with a customer’s warehousing solution to create an comprehensive online Point of Sale order catalogue. Distribution agents for major companies such as Orlando Wyndham and Pernod Ricard can now view and order their promotional store material online, view levels of stock available and help maintain records and track delivery. This saves time and money, reduces errors, enables ordering out-of-hours, and makes it easier to get specifications and images to the client with speed and accuracy.
