Amazing Race Corporate Challenge 2009
On October 23, teams from businesses around Adelaide will embark on a two day race around South Australia in the second Amazing Race Corporate Challenge. The event, which raises money for Deaf CanDo, is an absolute blast. This year, as before Vmedia will be supporting the race and a pit stop. Record breaking website hits for 2009 Talkfringe
This years talkfringe website has seen a huge number of visitors, as the popularity of the fringe and the BankSA initiatives hit a high.
The combination of discounted tickets and quality reviews, videos and blogs makes the talkfringe site an exciting and interactive fringe event itself!!
This year BankSA gave away 3 x $1000 prizes for the best blogs, votes, and reviewing on the site, on top of their massive Support Act effort and Concerts. Vmedia is proud to be associated with BankSA and their award winning talkfringe initiatives.
The Amazing Race in its third year
Following the massive award winning success of the last 2 events, Deaf CanDo has just hosted the third Amazing Race Around Adelaide on Sunday 29th March. Almost 50 teams competed the 2009 race, competing for fantastic SA prizes, while having a really fun day out. At the same time they raised some much needed money for the Deaf and hearing impaired in South Australia.
Vmedia have been there since the very start and are proud to have been helping the Deaf CanDo Amazing Race events once again in 2009.
Registrations are NOW OPEN for the Amazing Race Corporate Challenge Friday 23rd October 2009 - we highly recommend the event as a team building, feel good event which is unmatched anywhere in Australia.

Adelaide Metro making connections
Adelaide Metro is encouraging people to realise the benefits of public transport through new initiatives on their website.
The new journey planner complements the already comprehensive services offered by the website, including email and sms updates, savings calculators, online copies of Adelaide metro publications and guides, as well as of course all timetables and maps.
The latest version of New Connections had a pic of some of the work we do, bringing attention to the convenience of using online services. Vmedia as always are proud to help build a better Adelaide Metro and encourage people to use public transport to save money, time and the environment.

Deaf CanDo - Amazing Race Corporate Challenge

Vmedia are very excited to announce they have been named a finalist in the Telstra Business Awards, in the category of Social Responsibility.
This award recognises SMEs for demonstrating leadership and making contributions to the environment, people, education or the community. We are proud to have been recognised for our long term work in the community, and in having consistently put our values first. Thank you to all staff, clients, suppliers and especially to the people who have helped us to remember the important things.
Category winners will be announced on August 26 at the Hilton Adelaide, where one business will also be named the 2008 Telstra South Australian Business of the Year.

Deaf SA Amazing Race wins FIA Award for Amanda
The Deaf SA Amazing race was recognised last night, as the SA winner of a Fundraising Institute of Australia Award.
Ceri Horner and Amanda Hassett both received awards for organising the successful event,
which was the winner in the Special Events Division A category.
The Race, which was run in February 2007, was a huge success - a great event for participants and a worthwhile fundraiser for the organisation.
Registrations are now open for the 2008 event.
Rod wins Man of Movember
In a huge win for the moustache, Rod has scooped the pool at the Adelaide Man of Movember Gala Parte.
Rod was crowned man of Movember Adelaide and also won his category (best Porn Mo).
Apart from the kudos and the very attractive 'sashes, Rod scored a phone and other goodies for his win.
Movember is a fundraising initiative for men's health, and Rod has attracted quite a lot of sponsorship, both this year and last for the cause. We are sure you will agree the mo is worth supporting, so get behind it at:
